This website is one of the many dimensions of a larger literary effort launched by some friends from India and the U.S.A.

The objective is to reach out to a much wider readership across the oceans. A very small number of people outside India are familiar with any kind of literature being written in very different and very rich languages of that subcontinent. Hindi is by far the largest of those languages. It is written, spoken or understood by more than four hundred million people in that land alone. A very large body of world class literature is being produced in Hindi and other regional languages of India. We believe that such immense wealth of power, beauty and knowledge should be shared many more and in many more lands. On this website, you can read some parts of our Hindi magazine 'Anyatha' translated into three major world languages i.e. English, French and Spanish.

Occasionally, we will include other masterpieces of literature from other Indian languages also.

Translating literature from other languages so different in origin and culture is not an easy task. It is always far from perfect. We have tried to be as close to the original as possible. We hope that our readers will identify with much of what is being presented here because all good literature has something of the universal in it.
